Obituary

Beverly A. Guetzloff, 78, of Sun City, Huntley, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017 in Barrington following a short illness.

She was born January 2, 1939 in McHenry, the daughter of Walter and Alice (Hergott) Rosing. She grew up in Round Lake and graduated from Grant High School in 1956. She then graduated with a degree in nursing from St. Therese in Waukegan. She was united in marriage to Alfred F. Guetzloff on August 1, 1959 in Round Lake. The couple made their home in Wheeling, Libertyville, Indianapolis and later Connecticut. In 2001, following her retirement from nursing and her husband’s death, she moved to Huntley. Beverly especially enjoyed traveling, walking, playing cards and scrapbooking.

She is survived by her daughters; Mary Beth Guetzloff of Buffalo Grove, Judi (Rob) Ryan of Naperville, Brenda (Tracy) Bonds of Trumbull, Connecticut, her son, Dr. Thomas “Guppy” (Holly) Guetzloff of Culloden, West Virginia, her grandchildren; Maggie, Michael, Jimmy, Abbie, Charelle, Brian, Sarah, Megan, Jake, Abby and Nick, her great-grandson, Declan and Dave (Cindy) Ness of Peoria. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred, her brother, Don and her daughter-in-law, Chris.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21st at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22nd and the family will greet friends an hour prior at 9:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Entombment will be in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Women’s Cancer Research c/o the American Association of Cancer Research (AACR) or Autism Research Institute. I am so sorry on the loss of your Mom. Your Mom will always bring memories of all the fun we had together when we were kids, especially tobogganing in Round Lake. I just wish we could of seen each other oftener. Nans
