Dear Grandpa Bob, I will cherish all of the memories we shared because, truthfully, there weren’t any bad ones. From the very beginning, you welcomed me into the family with open arms, and that’s something I’ll always be grateful for. Everyone knows I’ve always been a grandparent’s baby, an old soul, as they like to say. I still smile thinking about our slow walks together behind the family. Everyone thought I was staying back to keep you company, but the truth is, we were moving at the same pace, and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. I’ll always remember our conversations about Northwestern University’s campus. Later, when I became interested in investing and building my stock portfolio, you were always just a phone call away. You never hesitated to share your wisdom, and I learned so much from you. But more than anything, I’ll remember the love you had for my boys. They absolutely adored their GGpa, and I know they brought so much joy to your life. The way you and Grandma could keep them entertained, happy, and somehow completely under control should honestly be studied. Simplicity is the key, It still makes me laugh, thinking about the time Trey played with an empty box for like an hour. Thank you for your kindness and your wisdom, and for making me feel like family from day one. You left this world a better place than you found it, and your legacy lives on in all of us. Rest easy, Gramps. This isn’t goodbye, it’s simply, “See you later.” Love always, Marcus❤️
I will miss my cousin Bob.
