Constance “Connie” Mary Caccamo, 90, of Huntley, passed away July 7, 2026. She was born in Chicago on October 1, 1935, the daughter of George and Dominica (Gaviglio) Ferm. On June 25, 1955, she married the love of her life, Ronald Caccamo and spent 66 years together before Ron’s passing in 2021. Connie and Ron started their life together in Chicago before moving to Elmhurst and later moving to Huntley in 2003.
Connie was a member of two bunko clubs and the gardening club at Del Webb in Huntley. A few times a year she would still meet with a group of her friends from her 1953 graduating class from Alvernia High School in Chicago. She was a homemaker who loved cooking, reading historical fiction, and watching Hallmark movies. She enjoyed travelling and attending baseball games with Ron or cheering on her favorite NHL team, the Chicago Blackhawks. Most of all she enjoyed spending all the time she could with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Connie is survived by her children, Paul (Kathy) Caccamo, Dan (Kathi) Caccamo, and Julie (Matt) Quinn; grandchildren, Nick (Adrienne), Andrew (Brynn), Danielle (Stefan), Olivia, and Matthew (Athena); great-grandchildren, Jack, James, William, Audrey, Charlotte, Clara, and Theodore; sisters-in-law, Marsha Caccamo and Molly Ferm.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Caccamo; her parents; and siblings, Jackie Ferm, Angela Tomaso, and David Ferm.
A memorial visitation will be Monday, July 13, 2026, at 9:00 am followed by Mass at 10:00 am at St. Mary Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to The Southwest Indian Foundation, www.southwestindian.com/donate or Feeding America, www.feedingamerica.org.

Sorry to hear of Connie's passing. She and Ron (he's my cousin) shared a wonderful life together and I'm sure their reunion was and is joyous. My love and condolences to their family.
