Charles F. "Chuck" Werner, 87, of Huntley, died peacefully, March 31, 2025.
Chuck was born on August 21, 1937, the son of Charles A. and Elsie D. (Hagelauer) Werner. He worked as a mechanical engineer. Throughout his career he that three transmission fuel filter patents in his name. He was a Shriner for over sixty years and enjoyed model rail roads. He was philanthropic and donated to multiple causes.
He is survived by his significant other, Barbara Helzing, his daughter Catherine Wasson and by his two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Robert. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, son, William, and second wife, Sandra Raye (Saurmann) Werner.
